What Exactly Can Make Your Website Click?

One thing I always notice in organizations is their constant up gradation strategy when it comes to their business sites. And the very reason they do it for is to satisfy their one digital marketing agenda or another. They don't look into implementation of digital marketing techniques to its entirety. They generally get redesigned to improve its SEO potential, to introduce a new brand or to highlight a particular service or product.

Application of individual strategies might give results for a particular time frame but eventually deteriorates visitor strength due to its blotched up look. In this article, I would look at each and every important aspect of digital marketing that gets impacted by your website design to identify how a well designed site could prompt results for your organization.

1) SEO or Search Engine Optimization - This is one of the biggest reasons, a website gets redesigned for. Whenever a site fall on its ranking on Google and other search engines, the company plans to redesign its website to incorporate every possible SEO trick.

Since the launch of the Panda update, I saw the whole world getting crazy to remove the duplicate content from their website. So why not save yourself from this botheration and use fresh content in the first place. Basically, there are three major occasions for the occurrence of duplicate content. First, it is your blog and news pages. They get automatically duplicated as of your company has picked up content from other places. In case you are an e-commerce company, you come up with similar pages for different products.

Now, the question that comes to mind is, how can you prevent such issues. The first issue can be prevented by using no follow tag on the offending pages, while the other need to be taken care of during the designing of the base infrastructure itself.

2) User Interface - A poor user interface can literally make or break a website. Generally users look for three aspects; navigation, ease to use and simplicity. Let us look at all these factors, one by one.

With increase in internet speed, users are now expecting faster load times. But, many times in their attempt to make the website flashy and attractive, business owners gives their thumbs up to high pixel images and videos. To make your site rank, it is important that you use compressed files or run a load time audit before launching it.
The next thing that demands utmost concern is its navigation capability. You should keep in mind, that ultimately your site is for the users and hence make it as navigation friendly as ever.

3) Branding - Even a kid today can differentiate between a good and bad website. So, what is the basis of his differentiations? The answer is the general perception. Whenever we see any site, we create a general perception in our mind regarding its purpose. We wish to identify it for a particular reason. Therefore, during website designing it important to keep note of the perception you wish your users to experience when they come to your site. This means from the logo, to the base color and its typography, everything needs to be accounted for.

4) Pay Per Click Marketing - To reap in the benefits of a pay per click facility, you need to have a well designed website, with lowest possible load times and good user interface. This applies to your landing pages as well. It is so because it is through the landing page that you promote the keyword you have bided for and hence helps you increase the conversion rate.

I hope, now you must have a clear understanding on the importance of a well designed website for your business. The key point though remains the same. You need to put all above elements together to make your website and not just play with a single ingredient.
